Painting Silk Scarves In this class, you will learn to paint silk scarves with acrylic paint that behaves like dye. Students will explore techniques that include brush painting, drip painting, and resist. A silk scarf and silk gift bag are included. Paint and materials are supplied. You will be amazed at the results - it’s Magic! Wednesday, March 20th - 1pm to 4pm Thursday, April 11th - 1pm to 4pm Painting with Dye on Cut Velvet Scarves are a great way to add color to your life, and this class will be easier than you think. You will learn to apply dye with a brush to create a beautiful animal-patterned velvet scarf. All dyes and necessary materials are supplied. No previous painting experience is necessary! Thursday, March 14th - 1pm to 4pm Tuesday, April 16th - 1pm to 4pm Intro to Yarn Dyeing In this all-day hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of dyeing plant-based yarns, color theory and mixing, as well as beginner dye methods. Two skeins of cotton, rayon yarn, gloves, apron, dye supplies, and a course handout are provided. Check back for the next Yarn Dye Class date Saturday, February 10th - 10:30am to 3:30pm |
